Yard Asset Management
Eliminate manual yard hunts and monitor the inventory of trailers, containers, generators, and chassis automatically with our private solar-powered LoRa tracking network.
Yard Asset Visibility & Control
Eliminate manual yard hunts and monitor the inventory of trailers, chassis, containers, and generators with a push of a button. Wireless Links LoRa tracking system operates on your own private radio network with zero carrier cell fees and no SIM requirements.
The easy-to-use Fleet.Net cloud platform provides a visualized dashboard allowing logistics teams to easily and efficiently locate machinery, pallets, containers, and other assets across large yards, depots, ports, and depots.
As long as the ATL-1 device is exposed to around 8 hours of sunlight per day, no additional charging or maintenance is required for ongoing operations.
Yard Management Efficiency gains:
- Increased efficiency: optimize the use of space and reduce manual search time.
- Reduced operating costs: eliminate carrier SIM subscription fees entirely.
- Better security: receive real-time geofence alerts upon gate crossing or exit.
- Predictive maintenance: schedule check-ups based on real asset activity logs.
How the Yard Management Network Operates
A dedicated radio grid that monitors chassis gate-crossings, checks trailer inventory, and automates dwell auditing.
Gate & Yard Coverage
LoRa Piccolo gateways are positioned at the entrance gates and yard boundaries to establish continuous localized wireless coverage.
Yard Asset Tagging
All chassis, refrigerated trailers, and yard hostlers are fitted with solar ATL-1 trackers to log locations and state flags.
Instant Yard Audits
Trackers automatically transmit check-in logs and gate crossing events to gateways via private radio waves with zero SIM card fees.
Automated Yard Reports
Fleet.Net converts data streams into real-time visual dashboards, auto-calculating dwell logs, space availability, and billing.

Select any of the top private IoT network capabilities below to view specifications and network diagnostics.
Automated Gate Crossings
Piccolo gateways mounted at yard entrance gates log trailer and chassis crossings automatically, recording in/out timestamps.
Operational Benefits of Yard Management
Deploy a private, secure radio network to track assets, monitor entrances, and organize complex logistics yards with no monthly carrier fees.
Exact GPS Location & Asset Visibility
Get exact GPS location data over all your assets in the yard, depot, or campus. The easy-to-use cloud platform provides a visualized dashboard allowing you to easily and efficiently find pallets, machinery, containers, and other assets across your yards.
Virtual Yard Geofence Boundaries
Set up virtual boundaries (geofences) around your yard or depot. Know exactly when each chassis, container, or generator enters or exits the yard in real-time, helping to automate gate control and improve dock turnaround times.
Instant Alarm On Move Alerts
Ensure better security in your yard environment. Get immediate notifications and triggers with the "Alarm On Move" feature, allowing you to track and monitor the unauthorized movement of vehicles and high-value cargo to prevent theft.
Inventory & Leased Asset Reports
Get instant visibility and real-time inventory across all your assets and yards. Automatically track historical movement logs across your yards, allowing you to easily keep records of leased assets and optimize yard space utilization.

LoRa Yard Tracking FAQ
What is a LoRa based Yard Management system?
It is a private wireless network setup deployed at your yard or depot facility. Solar-powered LoRa trackers mounted on trailers, generators, and chassis communicate directly with localized gateways up to 3/4 mile away. The gateways upload the positions and sensor data to the cloud, eliminating carrier subscription charges.
Does the system work without direct sunlight?
Yes. The ATL-1 solar tracker incorporates a large internal lithium back-up battery. Under ordinary check-in intervals, a fully charged tracker can transmit up to 10,000 pings (months of operation) in complete darkness. Regular daylight exposure automatically tops up the battery.
What is LoRaWAN and how does it work?
LoRaWAN stands for low-power, wide area networking protocol. It is built on top of the LoRa network, wirelessly connects devices, and manages communication between end-node trackers and gateways.
Is LoRaWAN free?
Think of LoRa as your own private network. Unlike cellular networks that require SIM subscriptions and monthly charges, LoRa operates on unlicensed radio channels, which means there are zero monthly data fees.
