A tablet with a card reader is installed on each bus and every student is equipped with a passive RFID card that is also the student ID card. As the students board the bus, they scan their RFID card on the card reader providing visual validation for the driver that that student is assigned to the bus.
The student data is stored in the DriverLink App together with the pick-up location and student ID data. Once the bus starts moving the stored data is sent to Fleet.Net together with GPS tracking data.
