Active RFID BLE Tags

Active RFID tags: The RFLink solution is an Active RFID gps tracking system that is comprised of small, battery powered active RFID RFTags packaged in an IP67 waterproof enclosure.

The RFTags are placed on trailers, containers or any asset to be monitored and a Piccolo Plus GPS telematics device with an RFLink module is installed in any truck.

The RFTags communicate via RF at 2.4GHz to the Piccolo Plus Gateway at a radius of up to 250 feet (70m).

GPS Telematics RF Gateway

In addition to sending GPS position, driver behavior, and via-the-air engine diagnostics, the Piccolo Plus communicates wirelessly to the RFTags placed on every asset and receives unique tag ID, signal strength, and temperature data.
Each RFTag automatically detects and connects to any number of Piccolo Plus units defined within a system.

The data received from the RF Tags is processed by the Piccolo Plus and routed to the Fleet.Net platform with the date, time and GPS location where the link was established
(which is the pickup and drop off location).

RFID Tag Features

The active RFID RFTag has a powerful 32bit CPU with a 2.4 GHz IEEE802.15.4 transceiver and is packaged with a small 200mAh or 500mAh rechargeable lithium battery capable of powering the RFTag for up to 24 months.

Product Features

2 options for temperature monitoring:

External digital temp sensor: High accuracy of +/- 0.9°F (0.5°C).

Internal integrated  temperature sensor: accuracy of +/- 1.8°F (1°C).

For certain applications in which the 210ft (70m) communication range is too powerful, the RFTag communication range can be shortened to 3ft, 6ft, 15ft, 30ft (1m,2m,5m or 10m) as needed.

Up to 24 months of continuous operation with an integrated 200mAh or 500mAh rechargeable lithium battery.

Designed for harsh working environments, each RFTag is packaged in a robust IP67 rated enclosure.

Can also function as a wireless remote I/O for detecting door open/closed events.

Only drivers that have the matching ID’s are authorized to start the vehicle.

Active RFID with GPS - FAQ

The benefits of GPS and RFID tracking is that they compromise one powerful system for fleet management and asset monitoring so you can track assets along with tracking your fleet of vehicles.

RFID tags GPS tracking system for asset tracking is a solution that consists of RFID tags mounted on assets that communicate with a GPS telematics device installed on a truck.  Together the two systems compromise one powerful system for all fleet management and monitoring needs.

The main advantage of RFID for asset tracking is that it is cost effective, a fraction of the cost of installing a tracking device on each asset.

The RFID for asset tracking communicate via RF at 2.4GHz to the Piccolo Plus Gateway at a radius of up to 250 feet (70m).

RFID tags for asset tracking are battery operated with a battery life of up to 24 months of continuous operation with an integrated rechargeable lithium battery.

Plug & Play Installation with magnets or 3M Tape.

You can add a an external digital temp sensor for high-accuracy temperature monitoring of +/- 0.9°F (0.5°C) and an integrated temperature sensor for an accuracy of +/- 1.8°F (1°C).

With RFID for asset tracking, you can track roll off containers, dumpsters, (refrigerated) trailers, pallets, packages, warehouse, student tracking or any asset.

The best RFID GPS tracking solution is one that fits your needs. We offer one powerful RFID GPS tracking system for all your fleet management and monitoring needs.

In addition to asset tracking with RFID, You get the benefits of GPS tracking, driver behavior, and via-the-air engine diagnostics, for the truck carrying the assets.
